Paul is an entrepreneur whose successful business skills have been proven time and again. He started his first company at the age of 21 and has over 40 years’ experience gained across business sectors.
As an executive and non-executive board member, he has helped build Hertford International Group, Crown Mortgage Management, Whittingehame Property Investments, Convex Conveyancing, Chase de Vere, CreditWeb, Mortgages plc, The Mortgage Operation and Central Mortgage Administration.
He has a wide range of key skills including strategic planning; identifying issues and problem solving; the development and implementation of new market opportunities into profitable corporations; knowledge of funding issues, including securitisation and raising capital via venture capitalists; a practical understanding of mergers and acquisitions; experience of developing businesses on a pan-European basis; human resource development; IT and systems development to support new business initiatives; marketing and sales management; and the development of joint ventures and third party business relationships.
Paul was a finalist in the Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ competition in June 2000. He is a Freeman of the City of London, a Member of the Guild of Freeman, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Corporation of Insurance and Financial Advisers.
